Where did the 9x25 go?

I think this is a great cal.

Thanks

i have one for my glock 20 and love it.  it's loud but no recoil.  http://www.doubletap.com makes 9x25 ammo

9x25 is still alive. Most IPSC open Class shooters have gone away from it to get greater magazine capacity; plus the round was extremely erosive to comps. Several barrel makers, including Lone Wolf offer aftermarket barrels in this chambering. The Lyman 2nd edition Pistol and revolver manual  has loading data.

How easy is it to reconfigure a .45 1911 to shoot it?  What all has to be done?  Are there magazines available for standard 1911 single stack?

You have to start out with a 1911 chambered for 10mm to be able to convert to 9x25mm. All it takes is a barrel change. 9x25mm uses the same magazines as 10mm. But you must have a 10m slide and ejector.

So no chance of the 10mm Magnum getting necked down to the 9mm.
How fast would that be?
Am I sick ? Why am I not Happy with the standard over the counter calibers?
Thanks
Chris

10mm magnum case necked down to 9mm was done in 1991. It's called the 9x30. The prototype gun is an AMT AUTOMAG 3. Velocities with 115 grain projectiles out of a 6 inch barrel are 2300 FPS. The Blue Press ran a story on this in June 1995

i built up the 9x25 with a glock 10 mm and a six in  barrell and compensator from lone wolf. very accurate and the compensator really controls the recoil.

it is still alive and well, commercial ammunition is available in 88,95, 115, 124, and 147 grain bullets. Fits great in an M20.
