Dillon Bullet Feeder - Quick-Change Parts

I bought the Dillon Bullet Feeder to replace my MBF because the design looked simpler to me. I also am very brand-loyal to Dillon because the products and service have always been excellent.

The packaging and instructions are excellent (as expected from Dillon). The mounting assembly made all of it very easy and nothing rattles during operation.

I like the Dillon way better than the MBF as far as consistency is concerned. Adjustment was easy and effective. I have loaded a ton of 45 ACP with zero issues. I really like the Powder Funnel and the Dropper Die way better than the ones from MBF (less sticky on the up-stroke and ZERO upside down bullets or double-drops).

The only downside is how long it takes to change calibers. With the MBF, I could go from 45acp to 9mm in about 15 minutes (including the press toolhead and the MBF). Now it takes a lot longer because you need to unscrew and screw about a dozen screws to get it done. This seems very contrary to how the market views the 650/750 product. I love my 650 because it is rock-solid reliable and I can change calibers quickly.

If an additional Bowl and Center Plate Assembly came with the Caliber Conversion Kit, then it could be done in a few minutes with only the Center Screw needing to be removed. There would be no reason to remove the Ring, Center Plate, or Bullet Chute Assembly. I would happily buy a 'Quick-Change Upgrade Kit' to augment a Caliber Conversion Kit.

Your concept is going to be adopted. I suspect the price on a conversion kit will go up slightly, but the inital cost on the basic bullet feeder will drop by the same amount. Please email your name and address to me at gary.kieft@dillonprecision.com for a reward.

I like to concept of having a bowl for each caliber conversion kit. So I planned to purchase addition bowls for the 4 conversion kits I bought with the introductory offer. Was disappointed to find that the bowls are now included at $110. I paid $99 without the bowl and now I see the bowls are available to purchase at $19.99. If I purchase additional bowls that makes to cost of my conversions $118.99. A little frustrating.
