RL300 Parts and Manual

Page 1 of 3Next

I recently picked up a RL300 in a bulk buy and it is missing some pieces. Where can I get replacements parts and a user manual for this machine? I know it is missing the indexing arm but I'm not sure what else it needs. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not sure how the indexing arm acually functions. Other than the fact that it isn't there, I have nothing to go on to figure it out. It is also missing the primer feed tube. Will other model parts work?

The RL300 does not have an indexing arm. You index the shellplate by pushing the case to advance it. The current RL550 C shellplates, locator buttons, and powder funnels fit the RL300. The 550 primer cups interchange. Otherwise, no other parts interchange, and no parts are available. The Rl300 was replaced by the RL450 in 1980. If you email us a request and your address, we can mail you a photocopy of the RL300 manual.

I think I got it figured out then as far as the operation. unfortunately, the glass/plastic hopper for the powder measure is missing as well as the primer feeder tube. I guess I can hand prime and move on from there. Will any other hoppers fit this model powder measure?

The plastic hopper tube we currently use should fit the base of the RL300 powder measure. At worst, you might need to sand the bottom slightly. Hopefully you have the rest of it.
If not, then use the RL450 powder die in conjunction with our powder measure adapter, and then you can use any manually operated measure with 7/8-14 TPI.

Thanks for the help. I ordered the hopper and locator pins. I'm not sure if the powder funnel that I have is the correct one for the caliber i'm loading but, if not, I'll go by your recommendation. Thanks again.

one other question, will the Lee powder through expanding die work with this machine? I assume that it will as it takes other Lee dies in the oter stations.

In conjunction with a Lee powder measure, yes it would.

well< stupid me. I ordered the hopper and the pins but only ordered one pin and no lid for the hopper. I guess I should have looked closer at the descriptions. I'll order the rest of the parts. Thanks again for all you help. Looks like this old antique is going to be a working model after all.

I've managed to find a primer shield for this machine. will the current primer magazines work with this?
