1050 Shellplate problem
Quote from Reloader on February 22, 2012, 11:43 pmOK, I found a used shellplate for my super 1050 to load .41 magnum.
Sounded like a good idea at the time, untilI tried to install it. I realized after trying to slide a shell in that the plate was cut differently.
I hadn't clued in that all my other shellplates are cut to support the bottom and top of the rim with some play. This shellplate was completely open at the bottom. It was perfectly dimentioned in all other respects. Due to the raised lip on the press that surrounds the shellplate, the case can't fit under.
Any idea what I have here? Was there a change in design at some point?
