1200 Case Trimmer and 550 Compatable?
Quote from Reloader on November 16, 2010, 4:39 pmFirst time posting here. Just bought a used RL550 from a buddy, and I'm trying to determine if the 1200 case trimmer is compatable with this model. I tried searching, but couldn't find the info. Thanks.

Quote from Reloader on November 17, 2010, 2:20 pmThe RT-1200 fits the RL550, as the trim dies are the same 7/8-14 TPI thread. You cannot trim and reload at the same time, as the motor vibrations cause irregularly heavier powder charges. Most users set it up on a separate toolhead.

Sure does, almost like it was built for it! Have fun, it's a great machine, and virtually indestructable. I've got over 200,000 rounds on mine, 223,45,9mm,308,30-06,44,38/357,303,40. Loads everything!
This is the best reloader on the market, and their support is 2nd to NONE!

Quote from Reloader on January 28, 2011, 4:38 pmYes, but be aware you cannot trim and load at the same time. Most users set up either a size die or universal decapping die at station one, and set up the trimmer at station three. be sure to lube the brass, as the trim die full length resizes as well.
