2.75" vs. 3" hulls

I saw in the previous thread that you are contemplating a 3" height retro kit for the SL900:

Will there ever be a model that will able to do both 2-3/4" and 3" shells, or will the standard remain 2-3/4" with the different gauges, and you'll need a 3" kit regardless? Also, if it stays a separate kit, will you need different 3" kits for each gauge, or will one size fit all?

We're contemplating buying an SL900 in the near future, and I want to see if waiting a bit makes sense so as to get a more versatile product. Having convinced Household 6 to make the investment, I don't want to have to answer pointed questions a few months down the line, if you know what I mean.

Yes - I'd like to see an answer to this as well as I may also make this purchase soon (I hope).

There are two drawings to finish, and then instructions to write and take pics for. Realistically, 60 days + to get that done. That is as of this morning, spoke to engineer. He says 30 days, but I know better.

I just placed an order - but if the 3" mag will be released soon - can I wait for that if isn't too much longer?
