.223 cases jam in case feeder
Quote from Reloader on February 16, 2008, 11:06 pmI am having a problem with .223 cases jamming the case feed plate on my RL1050. Haven't used the loader in several years and never noticed this problem before. If the cases feed neck first, there is no problem with them dropping into the case tube, but if the case goes into the plate slots base first, sometimes the case jams on the opening in the feed bowl and stops the case feed plate from rotating. I then have to shut off the case feed to clear the case from the opening. Dillon sent me the metal piece that is supposed to help eliminate the problem, but it didn't work. There is no washer under the .223 case plate, which is correct. Can someone help me with this? Thank you. Bill

The only issues I've ever had similar to yours is when a case sits in the feeder plate slots a little goofy and wedges against the plastic block up there. Other than making certain there aren't any burrs or rough spots on the bottom of the plate and making sure it didn't get warped somehow, you've stumped me.
