.223 Decapping bolt bent

I ordered a complete .223 die set from Dillon. Upon inspecting the dies, I observed the decapping bolt for the sizer die was canted in one direction. I called Dillon; no problem - a replacement is mailed to me.

......

I put the new decapping bolt with decapping pin in the sizing die. To my surprise, the decapping pin appears to lean towards one direction. Upon further inspection of the decapping bolt, I find that it is canted as well, albeit not as bad as the first one.

Both decapping bolts appear to have been machined off-center. As far as tight specs, machining, and die quality is concerned, I have never had this problem with Dillon products before. Is this normal for these types of dies? Should I go ahead and attempt to resize/decap?

Back the decap pin out about 1/8th turn out of the assembly, then check it again. After that, remove the decap assembly from the die, remove the pin, and roll both across a flat surface and see which is bent, if either.

I too ordered a .223 die set from Dillon and after installing it, I noticed that the sizing/priming die was not working properly. After removing the die from the shell plate,I took the decapping assembly bolt out of the die and had difficulty unscrewing the bolt from the die itself. After finally removing it, I noticed the bolt assembly rod was bent in one direction making the decapping pin crooked. I called Dillon on 06-18-2011 and asked about the issue, thinking I did something wrong and caused the problem. After reading this blog, it appears that this is an issue for the manufacturer. Still, Dillon is sending me a replacement free of charge. Hopefully the new pin works properly and is without flaws.
