223 die. Is it carbide?
Quote from Reloader on April 1, 2015, 3:21 amI found a 223 size die on eBay that is currently in the $30 range. The guy doesn't know what he has or if it is carbide or steel. There is obviously a $100 difference in price.
Is there a way that I can tell if it is carbide by looking at a picture (of the outside of the die).
If not, maybe I could ask a question that a novice seller could answer to determine if it is a carbide die.I have loaded pistol for a while on my 550B but I have not started on rifle calibers so I don't have a pistol die in my hand to see the differences.
Please let's not make this a debate of steel vs carbide. That just won't help me.
