3 out of 100 did not go fully into battery

I just reloaded by first set of bullets with my brand new XL 650.

Easily shot 97 of them out of my Smith & Wession M&P 9C which only has about 600 rounds of wear and I had put a little oil on the four points for the slide before I shot today.  If the gun was dirty, it was only from 100 rounds of Winchester white box a week ago.

3 of them, however, did not fully go into battery the first time; so I put them asside, and later shot all 3 of them easily on the second try.  All my prior 600 factory loads (Winchester white box) never had this problem.

These were 100 rounds of 9mm RN,115 gr, copper plated (Xtreme Bullets brand), 7.8 to 8.0 grains for Blue Dot powder, CCI 500 primers, reconditioned once-fired brass.  I chamber checked all of them with a Dillion guage before I shot them and they were all good.  I had carefully tested the powder and feel comfortable that each round had the correct quantity...and visibly saw this...I went slow for this first 100 rounds of reloading.

What is the problem? Why the problem with the 3?

My initial guess would be a burr on the rim of the case. When you tried them again, the burr was away from the extractor, and the round chambered fully.

Could they have had slightly proud primers?  I had this happen before.

Do some research on the forums on the M&P 9C. I did after I bought mine. there were problems with it I would be less suspiscious of the rounds you made and more so of the firearm. I have heard of problems like this with that weapon. better than what I had to deal with I was catching hot brass in the face due to a faulty ejector pin. this was the first S&W product I bought and was really dissapointed with not only the gun but the service I recieved fixing the problem from S&W
