300 AAC & Case Feeder

When using the XL650 Case Feeder (small pistol plate) for 300 Blackout I can not get consistent results. I did read on this forum to use 'spacer washers'. If I use the Dillon supplied spacer washer, the plate no longer engages the cross pin the the motor shaft. Washer seems too think. If I use hardware store thinner washers to the point where the plate engages the motor cross pin 'most of the time', I get erratic results.

Solution????

Are you putting the washer in the correct spot? You have to disassemble the clutch and put the washer up against the grey plastic.

Just started 300BLK and when using Small Pistol Plate it only seems to pick up a case every 4 or five slots (meaning four empty slots then will drop a case).

When I use the Large Pistol Plate I get a case every time (maybe once in a while an open slot).

anyone else using Large Pistol? Still using the two spacers inside the clutch.

I'm going to give the large plate a try. I'm having the same issue as you.

I tried the small pistol plate with poor results. I switched to the large pistol plate and had a lot better results. Make sure and put the washer on correctly and you should be fine,

Hardrockshot that did the trick! Lrg Pistol Plate, 2 washers. Works 100%.....

I have been using the small rifle plate but after reading this I just ordered the large pistol plate. Thanks!

This is much easier. All you have to do is move the metal plate at the discharge opening so the gap is smaller. Try different distances but you only have to move it about 1/2" or so. I have 100% of my cases fall correctly.

I just received my casefeeder in the mail today and was bummed that wouldn't feed 300aac with the small rifle plate.

I moved the little silver piece of metal over and now it feeds 100%!!!!
