300 AAC Case stuck
Quote from Jackball67 on August 20, 2024, 10:31 pmI am in a bad way. I needed to load 2 more rounds of blackout. I did not have any cleaned cases, so I got a couple of uncleaned cases. Put a little lube around the head and one of them the rim actually Broke off. It's a dillon 300 AAC carbide sizing die.

Quote from RKHowe on August 20, 2024, 11:20 pmThe best that I can tell is to get a stuck case removal tool. It consists of a #7 drill bit, 1/4-20 tap and a 2 ", 1/4-20 thread hex head machine screw with a heavy-duty flat washer that is larger than the ram diameter on the press. Enlarge the primer hole with the drill, tap the hole. Screw the die into a single stage press upside down, so the case is pointing up, about 1/2 " below the top of the press. Screw the machine screw with washer into the threaded hole. Tighten the machine screw until the brass is removed from the die. Shouldn't take to many turns to remove a 300 AAC case.
