300 Blackout Die Set
Quote from Reloader on December 20, 2014, 6:48 pmI was looking for a more "value conscious" die set for 300BLK, and was curious about the Dillon dies in that caliber only being offered in carbide.
Does the moderator have any thoughts on why these die sets aren't offered in the traditional steel format?
I'm currently using the RCBS small base dies, but I'm not 100% sold on them. About 3-5 percent of the finished rounds produced on my RL55B don't pass the Sheridan cutaway case gauge. The brass DOES pass pre-loading. LC, (various years), brass that has been SS cleaned, chopped, SS cleaned/de-burred, formed, then trimmed on an RCBS Pro Trim using a three-way cutter. Crimping with the Lee Factory Crimp Die on cannalured bullets.
Thanks

Quote from Reloader on December 26, 2014, 4:27 pmAt this time Dillon has no plans to offer a steel 3 die set in 300 Blackout. We do offer the Redding two die set (stock# 12550 $84.95) at this time, and will offer our taper crimp die as a separate item early in 2015.
