300 BLK & Large Pistol Plate

I have read several posts about using 2 washers and the large pistol plate in the case feeder for 300 blackout. Am I understanding correctly to use 2 of the thick washers like the one that comes with the case feeder? The lower part of the clutch where the washer sits fits inside the hole of the plate. There is just enough length with 1 washer to still go inside the plate hole. If 2 washers are used the clutch no longer fits inside the plate hole and you are basically pinching the plate between the clutch assembly. Is this is how everyone using this method is doing it? It seems with it set up this way if the clutch is engaged the plate could actually go eccentric. Anyone have a problem with this?

Hi, I just got a XL650 and Case Feeder. The Case Feeder showed up today. I got a email from Dillion stating about how to using the two washer also. Even though I only have the one washer that come with feeder for now, I saw today exactly what you are talking about. There is only a sliver of material available for the 2nd washer. I also realized this would allow the plate to wobble all over the place. I wonder if JB Welding both of washer togather would prevent the wobble. Good luck..

I use 2 washers but I put 1 washer on each side of the bottom adapter. Not 2 deep under the adapter.
Before I knew of the washer trick I put a small piece of window foam on each side of the plate case opening. Which in effect made the plate thicker.
Worked great until I ran 10's of thousands cases through the plate and the foam fell off and jammed in the tube. No problem there either.

I use a small pistol plate for my 300 black out rounds and seems to work well, Also instead of purchasing a 300 AAC conversion kit I used parts from my 30 carbine and 223 conversion kits and seems to work ok. I am forming my 300 casings from 223 rounds though. Conversions kits are too pricey.
