Somewhere Dillon stated a RT1200 cannot handle the load of trimming a 223 to a 300. Too much metal being trimmed away. It will cause the RT1200 to get to hot and burn up the bearings and/or motor and/or other. That is the reason they came out with the RT1500 (larger bearings, motor, etc).
