338 Lapua on XL650
Quote from Reloader on January 9, 2014, 8:39 pmI posted earlier about loading 338 Lapua Magnums on a XL650. Shortening the indexer did not work well. The shell plate did not index far enough before the primer pin hit the bottom of the shell plate keeping it from advancing all the way. Don't do that. I was successful though by shortening the seater and crimp dies so they do not protrude below the tool head. See my previous post for the parts needed or Email me for a list of the Dillon part numbers.

Quote from Reloader on May 21, 2014, 1:50 amI bought a 550 just for my .338 lapua. You only need a decapping and sizing die and a bullet seating die. I hand load all my .338. No need for a progressive press. IMO. Hope this help.
