.40 s&w reloading
Quote from Reloader on January 16, 2014, 1:00 amI was noticing when I reload .40 s&w on my Dillon RL550B for instance 30 out of 100 did not fit in my Lyman case gauge, however they do fit in my pistol chamber. The ones that don't fit has problems around the head of the cartridge. I've made sure the die is adjusted properly. Anyone having that issue reloading .40 cal on the Dillon RL550B or any Dillon reloader?

Quote from Reloader on January 16, 2014, 2:47 pmThis bulging is common for some firearms in 40 S&W, notably older generation Glock handguns. The chamber wasn't fully supported, resulting in the bottom of the case expanding excessively. As you see, the ammo typically goes back into the barrel it was fired in. However, the case gages are machined to minimum chamber specs, and this ammo frequently fails the gage test.
