45 acp issues

Hello All,

New to forum, currently own a square deal b, loaded thousands of 40 cal, hundreds of 44 mag with no issues.
Recently purchased 45 acp tool head and dies and having consistency problems.
About 20% to 40% of the reloads have a case that swells near the rim causing the round not to fit in the chamber checker. I have re-adjusted the case flair at station 2, depth setting at station 3 and the taper crimp at station 4 many times and can not eliminate this problem.
Any ideas?
Further information; all brass is under overall case length. Some of my brass is range pick up. The bullet is lead round nose at 200 grs.
Help!

First step is to size only a handful of cases, then see if they all gage. Please try this, then return with the results

I too have been having those issues .talk to a rep from dillon and they said they have the same issues and don't know why ... so pretty much don't buy 45 acp for the square deal b its a waste of money

.45 waste of money? I have loaded thousands of rounds with no issues with the exception of primers flipping on rare occasions. A Dillon tech gave me information that almost completely eliminated the problem but resign has never been a problem.

Definitely not a waste of money. Once you get it lined out it's a great little machine. I had the same problem when i first got mine. I just kept tampering with it and eventually got it right and have loaded 50,000 + on it now. for me it was as little bell as could be used without any problems of the bullet getting shaved from not fitting in the mouth properly, and just alittle crimp. Each bullet type I have loaded has a sweet spot as far a seating depth goes. I hope you got it figured out.
