5.56 Chamfer/Deburring

Iv loaded 22-250 / 270 / 30-30 / 300 win mag but never 5.56/223

I have once fired brass that has been deprimed, swaged, sized, trimed, cleaned and polished.

Do i need to chamfer / deburr every case before loading?

Iv usually only done this on brand new brass or trying to improve accuracy...

Im just loading this 5.56/223 for plinking/3-gun ....M193 55gr FMJBT will be the projectile

Your thoughts ?

With a boat tail projectile as you are using, I wouldn't worry about inside chamfering.Only If there is a burr on the outside from trimming it would need to be cleaned up.

Same here. Still waiting for my 223 dies. I'm sure we should be fine if we don't chamfer and deburr but may increase accuracy and certainly couldn't hurt. I'm not so sure I will go through the trouble especially if i'm not dealing with military brass.

I was also thinking of cleaning and deburring the primer pockets as well.

What do you think?
