50 Boewulf
Quote from Reloader on November 11, 2018, 7:31 amAm I crazy wanting to load these cartridges on my 550?
I don't see Dillon dies for the 50. I've been using Lee (ugh) dies with far less than favorable results. They are not playing nice with my Starline brass.
Aside from dies, what else do I need?
Please excuse my ignorance. I just inherited this 550B. It came with a couple complete tool heads with powder measures for 9 and 45. I've been watching videos to learn about this machine. Too bad I don't have a manual
Thank you

Quote from Reloader on November 11, 2018, 8:40 amIf you look at the bottom of the page under Resources you will see a listing for Manuals and you can download a copy of the 550 manual. Are you lubing your Brass? Rifle brass needs to be lube so it does not stick in the dies.

Quote from Reloader on November 11, 2018, 9:00 amI built this rifle in March and have only loaded on my Rock Chucker. Being a straight wall cartridge it doesn't use sizing lube, just like a large version of 9mm or 45acp.
I'll download and print the manual. Thank you

Quote from Reloader on November 11, 2018, 10:02 amI load .50AE on my 550 and it requires lube or the brass gets stuck in the sizing die. Even if not required lube makes it go easier into the sizing die.
