550 & 300 Win Mag and Lapua 338

I have been reloading successfully for years and using an older Dillon 550 for about the past ten of more than 40. Up until now I have been reloading pistol and shorter rifle, 308 being the tallest, without a hitch. But now I am diving into the realm of the 300 Win Mag and the 338 Lapua, and these shells are way too tall to fit in the 550 I have.
I purchased my particular 550 from a friend at work who had it for many years and what I am concerned about is if there might have been a change to the main frame, piston, etc. over the years. There is just not enough room between the shell plate and the dies for the shell plate to rotate and clear a newly seated bullet. Or in the case of the Lapua, not enough room to get the bullet into the case, let alone rotate the plate with the dies properly set.
Anyone have any ideas? Or am going to have to find room on my reloading bench for a single stage??
The distance between the shell plate and the bottom of the die holder is 4 1/4" and I am using Redding competition die sets.

Thanks

Dave

The floating sleeve in the competition seating dies is why you are having a clearance problem. Use a different style of seat die, then you will have sufficient clearance.
