550 to 650

Just upgraded to a 650 in 9mm. That will be 90% of my loading.
Need to load 1k of .40, I already have a 550 tool head setup with powder measure. Besides a new 650 tool head and shell plate, what else do I need? Can the 550 powder measure and die and locator pins work on the 650?

The powder measure and dies can be transferred to a new 650 tool head. The .40 caliber conversion will come with new locator pins if those are the 3 brass buttons that keep the shells in place on the shell plate.

The caliber conversion will also have a different case feeder tube for .40.

Thanks Kevin looks like I’ll save some money reusing the powder measure.
Can anyone confirm the small plate in my 9 mm casefeeder will also work with .40?

Yes the small shell plate for the casefeeder will work for 9mm and .40. If you want to do .45 you'll need a large plate.
