550b case feeder
Quote from Reloader on February 9, 2011, 10:10 pmIs anyone else having problems loading on the 550
with a caliber that the case feeder will not feed?
The case ram is in the way and I have to remove
the ram assy. to load things like 380 auto
and 223 and so on.
I am looking at getting a new press so I can load
outher calibers that the case feeder will not.

Quote from Reloader on December 28, 2015, 5:01 pmOn mine at home I pivot the cam out of the way, then wire the plunger in the rearward position, and remove the clear plastic feed tube and adapter. This gives you more room to insert cases into the shellplate. .380 ACP will be a pain, but rifle work fine.

Quote from Reloader on September 9, 2017, 12:35 amIt appears that he chucked it up in a lathe and turned it such that it rides approximately 1/8" lower so that the casings don't bind as bad.

Quote from Reloader on September 9, 2017, 12:40 amMy apologies,
1) remove some of the plastic so that the casefeed adapter rides lower to keep from the casings binding.
2) Get a 2nd plunger and then you will need to taper the plunger so that it won't hit the 2nd casing above the one in the channel.
3) you need a #3 locator slotThere's a video about it now.
