550B large primers

I switched my 550B from 9mm to 45acp. When using the large primer pickup tube, about the fifth primer would block the tube. I would dump the primers and start again, usually with success. I finally changed the plastic tip and that helped but still on occasion have the problem.

When I drop the primers into the large primer magazine, the primers seem to catch at the mouth of the magazine. They don't drop smooth like the small primers.

I use Winchester large and small primers. The small pick up and drop fine but the large primers seem to catch in both the pick up and dropping process.

Thoughts and thanks....

It sounds like primer concentricity might be a contributing factor here. It might help to cut a small cloth patch, wet it with alcohol, and use the plastic follower rod to push it through the tubes. See if that helps.

Well I had to back to geometry, which I didn't like, to remember the meaning of concentric. I will clean the tube but I did spend a few hours cleaning and adjusting the 550B already. It was not picking up the large primers in the cup about one in 25 pulls. Used Scotch pad on the slide and noticed marks on the right side of the slide so I moved the operating rod bracket. I did measure the bracket first using car feeler gauges and found the gap at .008 so I lowered it to .004. Seems like the slide is working better.
Thanks for the help
