550b overbelling .38
Quote from Reloader on August 15, 2010, 2:59 pmAfter loading thousands of rounds of .45 successfully, I've moved on to .38 special. About every 15th round, station two will dramatically overbell the case, ruining it (and wasting a primer). It still receives a powder charge, and the only difference I can detect is a little increased resistance while working the handle. All other rounds are loaded perfectly.
Any ideas? Thanx in advance

Quote from Reloader on August 15, 2010, 7:20 pmWell, I went ahead and took apart station 2, wiped everything down and put it back together. The problem seems to be solved. I just loaded 100 rounds without the overbelling issue.
If it does happen again, I'll look into trimming cases; I am using mixed brass picked up at the range. Thanks for the idea, George.
