550B Primer alignment
Quote from Reloader on October 25, 2010, 6:00 pmHello,
I'm having a problem with the alignment of small primers on my 550B. I have the roller handle and when seating the primer, I have to twist the handle left and right to get the primer to align just right in the case. In trying to figure out what is happening I'm watching the shell plate as I'm twisting the handle and it's rotating the shell plate as I do. So basically the whole main shaft rotates enough to mis-align the primer cup to the shell. Is this movement normal?
Thanks,
Bruce

How are the lower pivot pins secured by the link arms, nylock nuts or e-clips? If nylock nuts, thay can be tightened a bit. If via e-clips, then new spring washers can be installed between the link arms and crank.
