550b Primer Feed Issue

It seems to skip placing a primer about every other case unless If I pull the primer slide back all the way manually, then it works OK. I have tried cleaning all the parts with alcohol to no avail.
Any suggestions

if it gets gunk on it clean with Isopropyl alcohol. then add touch of gun grease should take out binding at end of stroke from picking up new primer.

Check the height of the operating rod bracket on the primer shield. The front, bottom edge of this bracket should be within .002-.004" of contacting the blue frame of the machine.
