550B Shell Plate Alignment/Primer Problem
Quote from Reloader on November 23, 2010, 7:15 pmHello,
I would like to start out by saying I have a 550 press and absolutely love it.
The issue I am having is will the shell plate plate alignment when loading pistol calibers that use small primers. When indexing the shell plate I run into an issue where the case is not completly centered over the primer. This maked the primers reluctant to enter the case. When i rotate the indexing star clockwise slightly the primers can then be inserted into the case without binding.
The problem seems to be intermittent, and does not happen in a notible pattern.
So far i've reloaded 45ACP, 9mm Luger and 38 Special, the problem is present on all calibers but more noticeable on the small primer cases.
Any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
