650 and 223 cases falling over
Quote from Reloader on March 25, 2013, 2:25 amI have a brand new 650 that came setup with the 223 conversion kit. I am using this one for rifle and I have another one setup for pistol.
When the 223 cases come down the tube from the case feeder, the arm that pushes them into the shellplate will knock them over or they will get caught a little sideways and jam it, causing me to have to reach in and remove the case. Sometimes it will do this 3 or 4 times in a row, and sometimes I can go 20 cases before it does it.
Anyone have any suggestions on what could cause it? Everything seems to look OK and everything moves freely just like my pistol one does.

Quote from Reloader on March 25, 2013, 5:37 amTry changing your case slide cam back to the pistol side - had the same problem with 223 and this corrected it. As a bonus, I no longer have to switch the cam every time I change between 45 ACP and 223. Hope that helps

Quote from Reloader on January 6, 2014, 5:27 amthat seemed to help but not enough. I am still getting one out of say 7 cases falling over and I have to reach in to tip them back up. I am not sure what to try next?

Quote from Reloader on February 14, 2014, 1:42 amI am experiencing the same issue. The press came set up for .223. I appears that there is excessive travel of the case as dropped before the rim is captured by the guide. Did reversing the cam block to the long side reduce this unrestrained travel?

Quote from Reloader on August 10, 2014, 4:26 amAny clarity on this topic, I'm starting to get frustrated and disappointed in this machine the more II use it. Although I have had a lot of malfunctioning parts since I purchased it Dillon has been more than generous in resolving the problems, but this one is driving my insane. i just want to be able to process and load 100 rounds without having them fall over ever 4th or 5th round and stopping and resenting everything

Quote from Reloader on July 10, 2016, 3:17 amI just setup my new 650 today and had the same problem. I discovered that if you go too slow on the down stroke the case tips over often. Speed up the down stroke and the problem goes away.
