650 Casefeeder
Quote from Reloader on August 17, 2007, 2:38 amHello,
Does anyone know if it is ok to leave cases in the case feeder with lube on them? Not sure if it would discolor the clear plactic tube. Something like if you leave power in the power measure it discolors the plastic.
Thanks
Michael

Quote from Reloader on August 21, 2007, 2:20 amIf you are using the Dillon Case Lube, the actual lube is Lanolin. The same oil that waterproofs wool. I leave lubed cases in the feeder as it really won't help to remove them unless you clean the disc too. Cover it so it doesn't attract dust and clean both the disc and the hopper from time to time. The plastic tube will eventually become clouded from just the cases dropping through it. Powder will react with the plastic to discolor it but lanolin totally different.
Your hands will be nice and soft after a day of handling the lubed cases.

Ever considered carbide dies?
Yeah they're spendier Mike but ya don't have the lube mess either. Just in clean up and maintenance time you get paid back IMO.
