650XL index pawl

Mine is too low. It's sitting flush with the base. What to I need to do to raise the plastic it rides in?

OK I figured it out. The pawl spring decided to jump out...LOL. I found it. Now, can I put this back together without the alignment tool?

Did you remove the platform in order to search for the pawl? If yes, then you really need an alignment tool. If you didn't remove the platform, then you won't need to worry about this.

Yes I moved the platform. I called this morning and have the alignment tool coming...along with an order for the wrench set and other things.
