7 Mag dies
Quote from pathfinder1946 on June 20, 2023, 1:04 amPlease excuse my lack of knowledge regarding the Dillon world. My Uncle just gave me all of his Dillon RL 550 B reloading equipment, all of my previous experience has been with RCBS. I noticed on Dillon's website they do not offer 7 mag dies, can you reload 7 mag and other large mag rifle ammunition with the 550? Also, can you use other manufacturer dies in the Dillon 550 press?
Thanks,
Don

I purchased my 7mm Rem Mag dies from Redding and have had excellent results. I have decided the micrometer bullet seating feature in any manufacturer's dies is essential to the easy production of top-quality ammunition.
Hornady, RCBS, Bonanza (Forster), and Lyman also make excellent tools that will work beautifully.
A word of caution. Some pistol dies are shorter than required to fit the 550 tool head properly (I.E., Lee).
