750 BL ?

hello, i`m new in this forum. thought this might be a good place to ask this question:
Dillon offers a 550 basic reloader. why cant they offer it in the 750 platform?

for the life of me i cant see why. i`d purchase one in a heartbeat if they offered it.
i have owned the 550 and used it for several yrs. best machine i ever had. gave it to my son a
few yrs back and its still going strong. went back and started loading single stage since.

but now i want to buy another Dillon but i want auto-indexing. i just dont need the
priming system ( i hand prime all my processed brass ) or the powder system. the indexing of the 750
is all i`m after. i cant see them losing money on selling the 750 that way. if they can do it
w/the 550 i see no difference in the 750.

I had called Dillon a good while ago and they told me it was under discussion. called back
and they said they were not going to do that. just wish i knew why.

Prior to the great plague, we seriously considered offering a very stripped version of the 750, so a user with an XL650 could gut all usable parts from their 650 to assemble the 750.  It would have been very incomplete compared to the BL550, and not capable of use unless one also had an XL650 to rob parts from.

i guess i dont understand. you mean this press wont auto index w/o the other systems present? ( would not think so )
one could purchase a conv. kit & tool heads. i just didnt want to spend $140 on a powder sys. and whatever the priming sys costs
that i would not use.

What we considered offering was a kit consisting of just enough parts & pieces to convert an XL650 into an XL750. So any 650 parts that fit the 750 would not be included, such as the crank, link arms, shaft, and a bunch of other parts. It was not going to be a functional machine out of the box.

ok that makes sense. thank you for the reply.
just wish you would offer it as a stand-a-lone like the 550bl.
you could still sell it that way minus the powder & priming system.

anyhow, i guess i`ll look at the LNL AP. even though this press will have the included
powder & priming sys. i dont need... its still less expensive. i`d just rather had stayed
with Dillon.
