8 Weeks+, i finally call just to get an attitude

Well, i ordered my 550B from Brian Enos on the first week in March. This is the eighth week so i decided to send him an email and ask to see the status of my order. He advised that Dillon had not sent it and advised me to call. He gave me the reference numbers and i called Dillon. The first girl that answered refused to look up the reference numbers and told me to call Brian Enos directly, she then pretty much hung up on me. I called back and spoke with a rather pleasant male employee. He advised that my order was being held more than likely due to the lack of conversion plates for 9mm. He advised that there where over 1300 backordered.

I waiting 8 weeks without so much of a call or email to anyone asking if my order was ready. I dont mind waiting a bit longer, i just wish that if it was going to take more than 8 weeks, that the correct time frame was listed on the website. Maybe its just me, but in my line of work, if i provide a deadline and fail to meet it, i get fired. Again, i dont mind waiting, i just want an accurate deadline.

Does dillon have any idea how much longer people have to wait for their order that was placed the first week of March? Is it really the conversion kits that are holding everything back?

Well trust me you are not alone. Look my post on Sniper Central. The tone of the email I got was arrogant.

eight weeks is actually really close. The exceptions that delay orders are 223 and 308 die sets. These are backordered about 14-16 weeks, especially on carbide, where it really isn't possible to greatly increase production.

Hang in there the press is worth it.. I ordered mine march 3  package is to arrive on Saturday....Be patient its well worth the weight,, called one time to set my password and assisted me without a hitch....  Good luck my freind.

Victor,
Patience is a virtue, man. And considering the present situation that is exactly what you need. Your Dillon Press will be worth the wait. I also have a 550B, and I love mine. I have even showed it off to a few friends who are considering getting into reloading. Use mine to load .45.
Many of us have been waiting longer for our orders. I have been waiting since 2-4 for my order for parts to start reloading for my new .223. Originally was told 8 - 10 weeks, now it is 12-16 per the website. We can't even buy ammo for our rifles, so no bang.

I am on week 8 as well for brass trimmer.

Blame Obama......Greatest gun salesman that has ever lived!

I bet no one ever lets' their ammo stores run low again or reloading parts and supplies run low again.
