9mm Brass
Quote from Reloader on March 16, 2016, 11:32 pmI'm using the #5 Shellplate with the #3 pins, but the brass is not aligning up with station 1's dies. I actually have to use my finger to line up the brass as it enters the die. Has anyone else had this issue, and is there a fix out there? THANKS -PEP

Quote from Reloader on March 17, 2016, 3:27 pmIf by "Station 1" you mean the sizing/decapping die, there is no locator pin there, so that's not part of the issue. That leaves the shell plate, which is correct, and it's alignment. Are you using a case feeder? If so, have you made sure that it is fully seating the case into the shell plate? If it is trying to seat it too deeply, it may actually make it back out a little. Whether using a case feeder or feeding by hand, which way do you have to move it to make it align with the die? If you have to push it in farther, then the case feeder is misadjusted or you're not getting them all the way in there by hand. If left or right, it could be a press alignment issue. Do the cases line up at all the other stations just fine?

Quote from Reloader on March 17, 2016, 3:35 pmIf you are feeding cases by hand, There is a bent paperclip shaped wire at station 1. This is adjustable by loosening the mounting screw and sliding it towards or away from the case. Adjust it to almost, but not quite touch the rim of the case. It should be within .002-.004" of the case. It serves to prevent the case from backing out of the shellplate.
Next, always tighten the die lock ring with a case up in the die. This ensures the die is centered in the toolhead.
