9mm cases not resizing all the way

Question:

I got my 550 all set up yesterday. I adjusted my resizing/depriming die like it said to on the DVD and resized a few cases (I also played with the flaring die). That slight bulge at the bottom appears to be from the resizing die not going all the way down the case. I measured an unsized/once fired case and it was the same measurement from top to bottom. Then I resized it and it shrunk down everywhere except where that bulge is. I don't know what's wrong and why it's not resizing the entire case. My resizing die makes very light contact with the shell plate when the handle is completely down so I can't go any lower on the die. The resized brass easily fits my case gauge though, even with the bulge.

What am I doing wrong?

Actually 9mm cases have a slight taper. It should measure .391 at the base and .380 at the mouth which makes for a .011 taper.

Be advised that some 9mm brass shot from a Glock will not resize properly. I have been told that a bulge at the bottom of the case is the culprit and it is because the Glock does not chamber the round all the way (or so I have been told). When I run across these brass I just chunk it in the trash. I also check every reload with a Dillon precision case gage just to make sure they will feed properly.

Let me restate my comment about Glocks not chambering brass all the way. This is NOT the case. It is because the brass has been fired in a chamber that has less than desirable tolerances. It is not specific to a Glock.

Thanks

i ordered bulk casings apparently that explains why i have had trouble with the 9mm good post and answers to it
