9mm - OAL 1.15 / 1.16
Quote from Reloader on December 17, 2014, 3:43 amI have a Dillon RL1050 and was loading 9mm 124gr FMJ bullets with 4.4gr of Win231 powder and OAL 1.15. By mistake I ended up loading 100 with OAL 1.16. I took them to the range and they seemed to shoot well in my MP5 9mm HK rifle.
My question is will I have future problems using the OAL 1.16 rather then the 1.15 that's in my Hornady book. Does anyone know what issue I am looking at with the OAL longer then book stats of 1.15?

Quote from Reloader on December 17, 2014, 5:28 amShouldn't be a problem. A difference of .01 may affect the pressure slightly but I doubt you'll notice it. As long as the cartridge feeds and ejects flawlessly, it should be fine. I have also loaded more (much more) than a 100 rounds beyond specs on O.A.L. and they fired and fed fine from both a Glock and an H&K pistol. For range duty, I just try and shoot these up, and continue to experiment a little at a time.
