Accessories?
Quote from Reloader on September 9, 2010, 1:39 pmHi all,
We're amateur handgun shooters, but we're getting better at it. And of course when that happens, the more time you spend at the range which translates into more ammo & that = $$. After several weeks of going back and forth whether or not to reload, I decided it would be economically more feasible to reload. Then of course the decision of which equipment to use. Since I'm in the SDB forum, I guess the answer is obvious.
What I'm not sure is which accessories are mandatory with the SDB. Since I do most my shooting w/ a .40, that will be the first die. Eventually I like to reload 10mm, .357 mag/.38 & 9mm in that order (possibly .32 later).
My question is forgetting all the niceties and focusing only on necessities what do I need to get this thing going. The press, .40 dies, tumbler and scale are on the list.
Thanks for your meaningful insights and recommendations.

Make sure your bench is heavy enough to withstand the pressures of primer seating. I have had problems with mine and will need to replace the particle board top with plywood. I will also probably screw the front legs into the floor (when my wife isn't looking).
