Accurate podwer charge
Quote from Reloader on March 28, 2016, 10:09 pmI have been loading pistol from 380acp to 45acp on my Dillon for years. However I can not get a consistent powder charge ( not big swings but they do vary for each load on titegroup) and now I am looking to load .223, 300 blackout and 308 the later for long distance 5-800 yards. I have two questions first is how do I get consistent charge weights? Do I need to scale every load? (put a funnel in the powder die and hand dump every charge)
The second question is no matter how much I love my Dillon will I get better long range accuracy from a single stage press especially for the 308?

When I want to check every powder drop I will size & prime, index, weigh & zero the empty case, insert it back into the shell plate, charge the case & reweigh. This method gives me a true weight of powder dropped.
