Alignment pin
Quote from Reloader on May 18, 2008, 5:10 pmHello,
I am in the process of disassembling my 550b, and in reading some of the posts, I saw that you said a person would need an alignment tool to reassemble the platform. I was wondering what this was for and if it was definitely needed. I have taken off the shellplate/platform, removed the lower link pin (not the two individual leg pins on the upper ends of the pins), an removed the ram. Looking at it, it seems that I would be able to reassemble the press the same way it came apart after greasing the pins and oiling the shaft. I am mechanically inclined and I think I am careful enough to get it back together properly, but if there is something I am missing, let me know and I will have to get an alignment pin I guess! Thanks in advance for your help.
