Auto Powder system for AT 500

The auto powder system would be my last upgrade to my ole AT 500. In the past all I reloaded for were rifles; either for bench rest grouping or for hunting and felt that I needed to weigh each charge (RCBS digital). I have recently started shooting pistols; 10mm and 45 ACP and find it quite enjoyable, even considering adding a 9mm. Going through pistol ammo much more quickly, I'm feeling the need to produce rounds at a faster rate.

My only concern is the safety aspect of the auto powder system; the chances of an unwanted hot load, double dropping into the same case, under charge, not dropping a charge at all, ....

Another question is changing from 10mm to 45 ACP; what are the  challenges if any, involved with this or simply changing from one powder to another. Reading from another post, I got the assumption that the person had an individual powder system committed to each of his calibers.

Thanks for the assistance,

The powder measure is case activated, and fully adjustable. It is extremely reliable and consistent. If you cycle the handle twice without rotating the shell plate it will double charge, that part of the operation is dependent upon you, the operator.

Many competitive shooters like to dedicate a separate powder measure to each caliber, but it is not difficult to move the powder measure from one toolhead to the next. You would want a separate powder die in the toolhead for the measure to attach to is all.
