Automatic Powder Measure
Quote from Reloader on March 31, 2013, 8:11 pmI just purchased the new powder fail safe system, and am having trouble mounting it on my old 550B. Just to update, my Body Collar #13940, is totally different than the included diagram parts list. My parts manual that was included with my 550B, includes the parts name, in Cursive Writing. This is before Dillon had their finished parts catalog, so therefore I'm trying to mount the fail-safe on an old collar. My collar has no 14808 (collar roller bushing, or 13793(roller), so I am wondering do I need to purchase a new collar 13939)? I also have the oldest bell-crank, not part #(90734). Would like some suggestions. BTW, I also upgraded to the primer alarm system and have not yet installed that, Im wondering if I should be good to go with that, or do I need new parts. Any help would be appreciated.

Quote from Reloader on April 2, 2013, 11:24 pmI'm glad you brought that up, I just ordered two failsafe upgrades for my two oldest powder measures. I would have ran into the same problem. Thaniks I guess I will email Dillon to get a replacment collar also. Thaniks again.

Quote from Reloader on May 11, 2013, 12:03 amOk, not sure whats going on with Dillon, but I need some help. I had the same issue, ordered two new failsafes so I could update my two original powermeasures for my 550. After reading the OP's post I emailed Dillon like they told him to do and forgot to include the model loader I had. My mistake, but when I replyed with my model, Dillon told me I didn't need new collars. Well if the new failsafe would fit my collars why would I ask for new ones. The collars on my old powder measures don't look anything like the newer ones that came with the new failsafe. Its been 3 weeks and no reply to my email, I know they are busy but I don't get it. I have been a Dillon customer since the 80's and have never seen an issue handled like this.

Quote from Reloader on September 3, 2013, 7:24 pmIf you are like me and own one of the 'original' 550's, your powder measure has to be replaced with the newer one - will not upgrade to the fail safe rig. I returned my old powder measure and Dillon sent the new one - contact first, of course;) var fctb_tool=null; function FCTB_Init_9899ace604a644949c96c163eae329d0(t) { fctb_tool=t; start(fctb_tool); } FCTB_Init_9899ace604a644949c96c163eae329d0(document['FCTB_Init_5eaf19bfba634033bc2477196acf9dc3']); delete document['FCTB_Init_5eaf19bfba634033bc2477196acf9dc3']
