bad priming step with .45 S&B brass
Quote from Reloader on July 28, 2011, 1:28 amThis is only happening with S&B brass (.45 ACP) when seating CCI Large primers. Can anyone tell me what is what? Brass from other Manufacturers is okay.
Thanks
Kevin

Quote from Reloader on February 14, 2012, 2:51 amTight pockets and possibbly a little crimp. If you do not have a pocket swager, a few turns of the male end of a chamfer tool will give the primer cup enough radius to receive the primer without incident. I load a lot of 3006 GI brass and prep the pockets this way.
I have a chamfer tool I bought from Sinclair Int., and it has a chuck or bushing that mounts the tool to my cordless drill. I now use this method rather than swaging. It's just faster to do.
