beam scale

my dillon beam scale is sticking when is down. when i add powder it wont move until I tap the table.

is there a way to fix this or would it be better to send it in.

A few things to check first: Be sure the copper vane is not rubbing in the notch of the scale base; clean the agate pivot points using alcohol; take a dryer santi-static sheet and wipe off all pieces of the scale.
