Bellcrank: early vs late version?
Quote from Reloader on February 13, 2012, 5:19 pmI purchased an older RL550B with an automatic powder system. It is in good operating condition except the return spring is missing on the bellcrank. The black,1-piece bellcrank apparently is an earlier version of the present yellow, 2-piece slotted bellcrank. Also the 'failsafe rod' is a different configuration as shown in attached photo.
Is the spring still available for this or is it aviseable to get the new bellcrank and faillsafe rod versions?
Thanks,
Bill

Quote from Reloader on February 16, 2012, 2:40 pmThere's no safety advantage to the new style two-piece bellcrank on a manually indexed machine. The onlt spring on this version of the powder measure is the long, thin coil spring that wraps around the metal inverted cone on the powder measure body, and goes over a vertical post on the end of the powder bar. This spring is #14036
