best source for supplies
Quote from donaldmichaud57 on January 10, 2024, 9:15 pmI have an old XL650 in the corner of my garage I haven't used in a long time, with the current climate I think I need to dust it off and get back into operation. That said I started looking around for powder and primers and found they are hard to find. Not real surprised though. I am loading for 5.56 NATO, 7.62X39 and 9mm. Do any of you good folks have recommendations on where to get powder & primers?
Thanks for any tips

Quote from RTB on January 11, 2024, 12:15 pmI second the Cabela's thought. Columbus, OH has stock but sticker shock is the killer. If you ordered to order at Cabela's, use the ship to store option. Depending on how long you have been away from reloading you may not know about the ridiculous HazMat fees. Also check to see if you have any local companies that cater strictly to the shooting sports. There is a company about an hour from me specializing in clay bird shooting supplies. They do not price gouge like so many of the other stores.

There is a Cabelas not far, if they don't have the powders I want I'll see if they can get it for me. I'll check with a couple gun shops also to see if they have much in the way of reloading supplies.

Quote from RB85 on January 11, 2024, 5:38 pmPowder valley for powder and RMR for bullets with fast and free shipping. Primers are the hardest to find at a good price when I find them for $ .06 or less I stock up I just bought 36,000 Fiocchi SSP for $.055 each after shipping and haz mat.

they were (powder valley) out of IMR 8208 just like everyone else, which is what I prefer for my 5.56
I may just have to go with another powder.
Thanks!
