binding in de-priming action

New to reloading- set up and lubed the xl 650 shell plate indexes smoothly case enters plate- as I am not sure how much extra resistance there is when depriming there seems to be a bind some were and after 20 or so actions broke the index ring.
Some cases did stick on the eject spring and I see posts on that to try however the resistance still occurred when the other case rotated and fell out. ? what should I be looking at how smooth should the action still be. Just de-priming nothing else involved yet.?
Thanks

Be sure the ejector wire is installed after the shellplate bolt is adjusted, and the brass-tipped set screw snugged up. Push down on the edge of the shellplate at station 4. If it feels springy, then the shellplate bolt needs to be tighter.
