Broke the bolt on my large charge bar
Quote from Reloader on July 27, 2014, 11:02 pmOk guys , I had a dumb axx attack the other night and forgot which charge bar I had in the 550 , was trying to set up for 45 auto and could not get the powder charge low enough , over tightened the bolt with a box end wrench and , yep , you guessed it , broke the bolt .
Any ideas on how to get it out now ? I'd like to change it to thumb wheel type instead of the standard bolt head just for ease of adjustment and not have to worry about this happening again .

Quote from Reloader on July 28, 2014, 3:27 pmThere is a post in the top of the powder bar that secures the bolt in place. Tap this post up and out of the powder bar, then the remaining bolt will easily unthread by hand. When you reassemble the bar, there are two washers on the bolt to provide tension. The bowed washer goes on first, curved edges facing the bar. then the flat washer goes on, and it touches the end of the bar.
