Broken De-Primer - What's the Warranty?
Quote from Reloader on March 12, 2014, 2:07 amI was just in the process of de-priming a large batch of 5.56. (all lubricated with Dillon Case Lube) and the de-priming pin on my Dillon .223 Carbide Sizing Die broke off.
Here is a photo of the die, the broken shaft, and the 5.56 case I was attempting to de-prime at the time:

As you can see, the case is fine - it's not mangled at all. The tip of the de-priming shaft just simply snapped off. There wasn't any strange feel that I remember or any noise - it just didn't pop the primer out.
Can I replace just the broken part? Is this covered under a warranty? Thanks in advance.

Quote from Reloader on March 12, 2014, 4:17 pmBroken rifle decapping pins are not covered under warranty. The pin itself is easy to replace. A spare is packed in the die box. There are flats at the top of the pin so you can unscrew it. Don't drop the carbide expander ball, as they are carbide and therefore quite fragile.
The base of the case looks to be bent somehow, at least in the photograph.

A pin
A carbide ball
A CaseAll for .223/5.56
Thank you.
