Built .223's stuck in chamber
Quote from Reloader on September 8, 2017, 9:58 pmI recently assembled my dillon 550 and spent a good part of the day learning this machine and adjusting all these dies. This is my first time making any batch of ammunition at all. I don't believe i have one of my dies set properly.
I have #1 FL sizing die #2 powder die #3 bullet seating #4 crimpingI made 7 rounds of .223 initially and hand cycled them through my Bushmaster and 4 cycled by hand with no issues, 3 stuck and took excessive force to cycle out of the rifle.
I took a marksalot to the 3 that cycled badly and found that there is a 1/2in area where they are making friction, on the bottom 1/3rd of the brass casing. I took a picture but I am not sure how to post pictures to the forum.
Additionally, i have noticed that my CCI primers are being marked slightly as I hand cycle (without firing) the rounds.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Quote from Reloader on September 11, 2017, 3:42 pmThe most likely cause is that the size die is not quite down far enough. We strongly recommend using a headspace case gage to aid in adjusting the size die down to minimum headspace. We have a video available on our website under resources to show use.
